Hi Dave
How are ya ■■
I can see “Ticker”, Derek Robbo and a very familiar looking Dane on the right. The other two blokes also look familiar.
Then in the other pictures are Dai Blunt and John Willie with a cuppa in his hand.
Best regards
Gavin
Great picture of JW looking relaxed Crow
Do you recall a trip with Rod Holt and our mate Mark. I do believe you clubbed together & paid a young lady for an initiation service for his 16th birthday in Romania

We can agree that Brian Hogg was up there with the greediest of them all ,his rate cutting ways for drivers were legendary ,he still owes me 30 quid. I sweated blood for him & he still knocked me,the ■■■■■■■!Hope the Greek-debt thing will trim his corns but knowing Oggy he was the one that caused it.Sad to hear about Joe Taylor,he was a good mate of mine.I first met Joe when he worked for that Brightlinsea firm run by Kingsly Beer ( EuroKing?) running shop display fridges out of Italy. The last I saw of Joe is when I rolled up at Georges yard in Enfield early one Winters morning in the snow & Joe was the watchman on the gate.He had a home in Swansea? with his wife who he met in Athens & every Monday would drive his clapped out Golf to Georges yard & live in that hut by the gate until Friday & drive home again. He wasn’t doing any driving & seemed unhappy with the way things had worked out for him.RIP.Joe.

Which is Lindsay and Alex? I think the 3rd is Alex (I remember him from pre-trucking days - he would have been at junior school probably!!). I also loaded Lindsay a lot but never met him.
Lindsey is 2nd from the left.
Dave.
Good pics Dave and Tony what a pity we haven t still got the pic of the tank pulling you out the bleeding gun was pointing straight thru the windscreen .Rupert Murdoch pay a fortune for it Tatlock took the pic so maybe if we can find him he s still got the negative. Flysheet it does indeed look like Roland Rat these days he s metamorphised into Richard Branson . Good luck with the French lessons dont let your missus find out .Incidentally Ken Corrigan is out here from April 18 for 2 weeks I ll give him some computer lessons. All the best Crow.

Sorry Crow, no offence meant mate, but there is a likeness you must admit.
Do like your description " Hit man for the Brownies ".
Take it easy pal.

Mr Corrigan himself eh Wheelnut he says he s seen the pics of him that are on this thread but somehow i dont believe him have no fear in acouple of weeks he will and we ll see what he has to say.Do you remember the Irish reg Scania that he had it set on fire at Kelibija on its second trip because some clown had put anail instead of afuse in the night heater total loss. O; his first trip with it he caused amass exodus from Diemelstadt by over filling his running tanks with of course claret from his belly tank the car park was awash thank christ it was dark i would have loved to have seen the faces on the master race the following morning we were long gone into the truck drivers sanctuary DDR.Cheers Crow.
Geoff the Crow I think your confusing EHJ with another ■■■■■■ as it always had a mainly white cab and it used to pull like a train, I Think it was pushing out about 375hp, small compared to todays engines but good at the time. Top speed was over 90 mph but it rattled well, it ended up being bought back by Derek Garrard who I bought it off around 1988 and he sold it I believe to a Russian and it’s probably still running around there. It was one of those trucks that was a bit different and had some history and character to it similar to some of Astrans vehicles.

it wasn’t my photograph Geoff, it was posted on here earlier in the thread, but is Ken the the bloke who lived near Burton on Trent.
I often wonder how much vin rouge has ended up in the Rhine or the Danube though
Now’t wrong with EHJ at all - it was a beast of a motor back then & all down to Steve Moss & his boys at ■■■■■■■■
Wheelnut Ken as far as i know came from Chadderton or some other place out in the sticks near Oldham . As to Toad Hall Iremember abandoning Flysheet and Alex Ross at the BP at e
Evzoni going to Sliven in Bulgy reloading Alisons wine buying cheap diesel there selling it to the poor yugo farmers and still being at the national before them. Alex Ross was driving that bag of rubbish Renault that Anglo Greek or some other Arthur Daley had stuffed into him maybe Toad Hall Wasnt dark blue it must have been dark but i also running up thru Italy with Cooperman and it really was on its knees. Memory is awonderful thing isn t it most of us have forgotten what we did yesterday never mind 29 plus years ago, I m opening atin of Pleven Pivo right now not to mention BIP yeah wish i was George waiting for your comments Crow. Who did that “Middle East Express” DAF belong to ? it rings some bells but the old grey matter just cant remember !!
GS
You’ve no need to talk about people spilling diesel crow,I seem to remember you doing the very same thing in broad daylight on a service area near Turin in Italy, when you over revved the air valve on your belly tank full of red and flooded the car park.I recall we had to make a pretty sharp exit.Oh, and incidentally have you ever heard of punctuation when writing about your memoirs.Your brain’s working faster than your fingers or you’ve drank too much San Miguel
