I see their lorries a lot in Great Bear at Desborough…mostly Dafs now though I think.
Did they have a picture of a dog on the side,it was a german shepherd i think 
David garner transport from coalville always used to buy his trucks from asfordby when they had finished with them,mainly volvos with the odd scania thrown in.
No pics but ISTR they had a fleet of well kept F88’s at one time.
i come past Asfordby’s place quite often,and last week one of their ‘G’ reg (1989?) Volvo’s was crossing the road 
a few years ago they had a Scammell Highwayman in the yard…presumably a shunter.

The fitters used to keep a spare engine on the shelf for the old FL7 units so no matter how hard you tried to get rid of one of the bloody things they just repaired it again, they will be on the road when I’m retired.
