Asda assessment

They are not quite “in the money” yet…

Sainsbury’s getting VERY big

Just wait until Google and Amazon merge…

remy:
Do Sainsbury’s own ASDA now ? there was talk of Wal Mart selling them but maybe these things take time.

Asda and Sainsbugs are merging.

Fuzrat:
Couple of quiz papers, drivers hours, WTD and road signs. Walk round checks (make sure you put card in and do manual entries as soon as you get in the cab, they like the manual entries) hook up a trailer, check trailer, go for a little drive. Reverse it onto a bay or maybe into a parking slot, usually a fairly simple good side. unhook trailer, go for a little debrief. Whole thing is about 3-4 hrs.
Above was Didcot but I would imagine its the same process across sites.

Thanks a lot, sounds pretty straight forward. Any idea of pay rates?

No idea of…

The rates but at Normanton the drivers kissed goodbye to picking holidays when they wanted them, you’ll be lucky to get any time off at Xmas too. If you enjoy filling in pieces of A4 paper and signing loads of pointless little diktats, you’ll have a great time.

Don’t understand where you’re coming from ? Diktats ■■

Thanks for the ASDA/Sainsbury update.

Pointless orders from…

Jumped up little Hitlers. If a fly landed on a window upstairs, within 5 minutes a piece of A4 would be produced warning of the dangers of flies and what should be done if you ever see one again. The funniest one being how to drop and pick up a trailer. As that particular piece of paper was doing the rounds, one of the full timers dropped one right outside the transport office.

Definition of diktat in English:

diktat
noun

An order or decree imposed by someone in power without popular consent.
