So my first delivery is 5 stacks of empty pallets to Boots in sheep street (pedestrian zone)
I’m thinking it’s the wrong delivery address and before I speak to the office in the morning I thought I’d see If anybody had been there as it doesn’t seem like an address that would require 75 refurbed m/t pallets but you never know…

Coming from the M40 and A41 go past the Esso garage into the weight limit (perfectly safe and legal). This is Kings End. Keep going past the fire station and the leisure centre and follow signs for Pioneer Square. Then you should see directions for the service yards.
The pedestrianised Sheep Street is only accessed with permits via rising bollards.
Never been there but a quick look on google earth looks like it is a, relatively small, Boots shop on a pedestrianised high street with width restriction bollards etc. etc. 75 pallets to there seems highly, highly unlikely but maybe…
If your not sure, make the call. Better to wake someone up to be sure and be thought of as an annoying arse, rather than really f@@k it up and have to call someone when you’re stuck to say I really need help
Mind you, looking back at the OP, I would love to know why a Boots store in a pedestrian zone would want “” 5 stacks of EMPTY pallets “”"
Does seem rather unlikely unless of course that shop is closing down or relocating. In which case they might need pallets to palletise stock for a move or close down.
Just a guess of course, as you say best to make a phone call first thing and double check the info is right or wrong.
I’ll ask the question in the morning when I get in…better to be safe than sorry. It’s only because the office staff had gone by the time I finished today…there is a boots shop in the shopping centre so you never know…ill report back 2mrw guys…[emoji106][emoji106]
I have delivered to Iceland in Bicester who are in the same area. It’s a back door delivery. Come of the ring road onto Launton road then Victoria road. Then left right bends and reverse down Back way lane. We used to use 10m urban trailers so good luck, you may need it.
Just looked on Google maps you might not need to back down the lane as Boots is further along the high street. Back entrance on Victoria Road past the left right bends.
Scratch that Iceland has an even number Boots has odd numbers, opposite side of the road.

If you’re doing high street type deliveries, always call ahead and ask. Usually deliveries to those places can only be done front of house in the morning (early opening hours) before restrictions kick in, but they may also have a back entrance or underground loading bay. If you look up the address on Google Maps, say, and it doesn’t look right, always call ahead or ask other drivers who’ve done that delivery.
It was actually Argos [emoji16][emoji16] and the double doors are in Victoria road as somebody commented…
75 plts handballed as they are removing all the interior…
As somebody else suggested…
Bloody know it all’s…
Think I went in the wrong way but I came out the right way onto the buckingham/Aylesbury roundabout…

I nearly said maybe a shop refit, but went with closing down sale/relocating.
As I said even when things seem a little strange and odd there is usually an explanation.
