Sorry mate, I don’t know the answer, but I’ve moved your post to where I think you’ll get the answer quite quickly.

In this area (Staffordshire) it is more a question of which agency doesn’t put drivers into the Argos depot. I am guessing it would be the same for other areas as they have a high turnover, especially on the home deliveries. (Try delivering a freezer to a flat with no lift).

Why would you want to do 2 multi drop for Argos? I’d rather shove wasps up my arse.

It’s a funny old world!

I did it in bellshill and love it.was kept fit and got no bad tips.id trather do that kinda work than trunks

Argos home delivery drivers are in 7.5 Tonners, they run out of imperial commercials on Ashbourne rd, Derby.
Argos transfer box units over from their distribution centre on the A38 at night.
As far as what agency, like what’s been said they more than likely use a lot.
talking to some of their drivers, (as they run out the same yard as me )they drive around like wasps and have 40 to 60 drops a day.
I couldn’t believe they are not allowed to take up an offer of a cuppa from customers as it is classed as tip.

Well i took tea and bits to eat.i rush for no one

I’m in a similar boat, rather do store deliveries than trunking, keeps me active and gets me out the cab for a bit

Things may have changed slightly since I retired from Argos
Argos Depot on the A38 at Barton under Needwood was or is a container and high risk depot not a Home Delivery depot the stuff that come out of there goes to other depots for shop distribution, and Home Delivery depots
They contract out Home Deliveries to DHL or Wincanton out of Stafford /Kettering /Darlington /Bedford and I think possibly a few others like Basildon Bellshill Bridgewater other places are only “satellite” depots owned by the contractors
Pretty sure they don`t do up to 60 drops a day due to the size of the items they deliver and distance travelled ie white goods /furniture ,and by the way they are not employed by Argos but contractors they have two badges on the breast pocket on their uniform Argos on one side contractor on the other.
Hope this enlightens you a little

I’d rather bite my own toenails

no totally making it all up, as I have f…k all else to do.
All them Argos wagons I see in the yard, must be cardboard cut outs and the drivers must have nothing else to do in their life’s but to put a Argos uniform on and stand around telling lies about how many drops they have.

From my experience stay well away worked for them for six months multi drop never again.

Aye I agree getting a job that keeps you active is a bonus kinda of like a free gym membership, but you don’t want a job that will ■■■■ up your back and joints and that’s what Argos will do. Maybe not feel it now but 10 year down the line it will hit you.
