Are belly tanks allowed?

Hi Guys,

Belly tanks are not allowed, had them in the late 80s thru to 90s the French would love to stop you and find a belly
tank, so please do not think about doing it, the fines would be out of this world.

The only belly tanks that were allowed then, were vehicles travelling to say Turkey/Russia etc and you had to have them sealed and do a T form.

Even now in Germany, if you do not have manufacturers tanks on the unit, you will have a problem, the only way if you
have bigger tanks made i.e. like SB tanks, they must stamp the tanks with the codes that were on the original tanks ?
but, the BAG in Germany can be very funny about this.

I was thinking more about using reefertank. 500 litres is allowed and I need maybe 100 litres per trip for reefer so there’s 400 left for tractor. Maybe it can be made 600-700 litres without drawing too much attention.

Yes, fuel tanks must be approved, these days every professional manufacturer gets them stamped, Danes have had them for years, now even SB Components.
