DS Smith paper works, really easy job, used to go in there if I was in the area when on for Archbold, they do packaging for Kraft (Cadbury) which is a real doddle and you are welcome in the staff shop whilst there 
Wages at all Archbold are ■■■■■■ but if you want to work at any permanent, that’s the 1 to go for.
The last I heard archbolds was a zero hours contract.

my brother in law was on the continetal side of archbold for about 4 years. they all got a phone call to report to the depot on the monday morning and was told they was all finished unless they wanted to be a owner driver.

thought they only sent owner drivers / subbies over the water ? that was the case when i was there in 2000
they started sending there own drivers over the water mainly doing italy, the strange thing was they kept changing there motors about every 3 months, it was like they was running demo motors painted in archbolds colours, started off in scanias then changed to renaults then to volvo then back to renaults and so on .
that could be to keep the mileages down on the motors, they did it with us at heywood , started of in a eurotech , given an fh from leeds depot then an fl10 from stepps depot what a comedown that was!
It would appear it’s still a 0 hour contract…

Description
Must be age 21+ for C1+E driving categories. Must have the relevant licence with less than 6 points. Driving experience is essential. A knowledge of taut liners is preferred. Any interview may include a brief driving assessment with our Driver Trainer. Applicants attending interview must bring both copies of the driving licence and suitable ID documents. Duties are deliveries and collections. Night shift premium. This is a temporary vacancy and may lead to permanent. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.
