I can get an Irish paaport due to my Dad being a Dubliner so wondered if it is true that it is easier to get work permit being an Irish passport holder. My bro reckons he looked into it and this is the case but I would think there is more to it then that 
I am going to try and get on the harvest run 2010 when I have passed my C+E and got a bit of experience but wondered how true this is.

Well you’ll have a better chance than being English.I know a few Irish who got their green cards in the immigration lottery,but that was 15 years ago. With Irish economy being as strong as it was less people are coming here anyway.
From what I’ve seen, your brother is right. You can apply for the green card lottery if you’re irish.
The harvest runs are open to anyone who likes long hours, ancient trucks, and sitting in dusty fields for hours on low pay…

Not gonna make that much difference then is it lol, the harvest run is something to do for an experience I expect long hours in both CA and USA with the states/cities being so far apart from each other I need to pass my C+E first anyway to start with and get some hours behind me and then I would like a crack over the pond somewhere its not like I am in a position to do anything yet 
Been thinking about it years and my ex was not interested because of leaving her mum 
so now I want to think about it again and have read loads of threads on here but none about Irish passports so had to ask.
