We apologise that the forums were offline for a few hours today. this was caused by a database crash that corrupted the “tables” that make the forums work.
The tech team rebuilt the tables and managed to recover all posts made, our other alternative would have been to roll back the forums to our last save ( about 9 pm last night ) and to have lost all posts made since then
We have not yet isolated why the database crashed so it is possible they will go down again, the team is working to find out why this happened and to stop it happening again

I thought he same about iPad today. But checked on safari and it had a message about maintenance.
Also Facebook TNUK group often has maintenance updates.

It did but wasnt a CM page but about CM live an event we are hosting in October- it does seem that creating that new page has somehow broken something, we are still not sure why the database crashed, talking with the people who wrote the forum script and other phpBB forum users none have had this particular and quite spectacular crash happen.
we are still looking into why this happened to stop it happening again… in the mean time the forums are back up and we didnt lose any posts- but until we indentify the problem we cant guarentee they wont crash again
I thought Nat West had took over
