anyone remember these tamworth firms

Wm Rowe & Sons vehicles parked up at Elford in the late 80’s. It looks like times were hard judging by the condition of the vehicles.

Hello silver fox

I remember passing your place during the eighties short cut back to smurfits mill, flat trailers in them days no problem with the bridges

Gunny

reckon the landrover 2a is worthy of a place on here older than most of the trucks (1969).

smurfit yard dordon

Are you taking the proverbial Gunny? Which company from Tamworth had the old Landrover 2a?

IIRC these vehicles were from a hire company called Yellow Belly Hire !

A CTS Tamworth driver had a lucky escape after leaving the M6 between Penrith and Carlisle, 1976/77
Recovery vehicles in the background racing to the scene.

gunny

i think that would have been shaun with the landy wouldnt it andy ■■?

Craig dont rise to Gunny the person he is on about is me, when i started at Rowes the service vehicle was a LWB pick up petrol Land Rover and for some reason he thinks i had a mullet as today he seems to think i have grey hair. The guy is deluded
