I’m not getting this bit? You say you know all the regulations. You obviously knew the wages and the hours that was for. You know you’ve been breaking the regulations not for your own benefit but to give them hours of your time for free and yet it took this thread for you to realise you’ve been taken for a mug? Op get a job with a blue chip company ,they actually employ people too wash the trucks for you

ready to jump in and post unhelpful and snidey comments.
As I read it you were unfairly dismissed, the job was given to another driver at 1300, he refused it, the office
then sat on the job till 1600 and given it to you, after you had waited in turn to wash your truck.
I suppose if they gave it to you at 1300 you may have done the job, I myself would have, then to expect you
to wash the truck at on your return at 20.00hrs was unreasonable.
Maybe they did you a favor, doesn’t sound like a good company to work for, plenty jobs around or talk to the
boss if you liked the job and see if his Christmas spirit has returned and give you your job back, best of luck.

No “they” wouldn’t have done the job as “they” wouldn’t be working there in the first place.
I wouldn’t either, not now I have 28yrs of driving for a living under my belt, but in your position I would’ve done the same, I would’ve done the job, worked off the card etc etc etc and I would’ve told em ■■■■■■■■ when they asked me to go out 3hrs after I got back to the yard.
