Talk about post revival i got couple off them somewhere that i took when working out of Rutherglen depot then moved up to Larkhall Drove them all We used to doubleman them to corby and back same night then tip bellshill livinstone etc. Some shift right enough. Used to do overnights also for 3\4 weeks then back on doublemanning for month then repeat. Think it was631 that went the quickest while 629 was slow and no one wanted that lol. Good company to work for at the time loads of great stories and some real good guys when i was there All deliveries had time slots so there was no stopping from leaving glasgow to getting corby {except change taco } tip reload straight back up road Sometimes it was a mission on limiter all way there and back especilly over 66 in winter.
Just to add. Back when corby chilled were growing expanding the company were so good to work for. Money always in bank we had salary pay but had plenty bonus incentifes extra days off Time and half double time were common bonues to be had Once it got bigger and bigger it got more regulated and more rules came into force.
CCD site is depressing at this very moment, frozen in time as it was about two decades ago, place is operated now by Optima or Optimum…
