Any Yorkshire Water drivers here?

Hi all,

I have been given an interview with Yorkshire Water so was wondering if anybody knew the interview process. It is for the class 2 Jetting Technician. I have no experience other than 12 years bus driving experience so I need to try and stand out. But the interview seems more like a formal interview than theory questions and a driving assessment. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If your jetting, watch out for Neptunes kiss

Never knew there was a term for it…

not too bad when it happens at home, but when at services…have wtf moment, and just feel violated for rest of day,

no matter how much you wipe…

Can you imagine the scale of “Neptunes Kiss” with a blowback while jetting a blocked sewer

I work for Anglian Water. I can well imagine that you will be asked a series of competency based questions at interview. You need to think primarily about safety.

For example “Describe a time you came across an unsafe act or condition and what steps did you take to get it rectified”

Your experience of driving is secondary to being a safe operator.

Anglian Water have been advertising for a Class 2 jetter locally for months.
Their reviews on Indeed or Glassdoor probably deter many.

I’m very satisfied with my job

Thank you very much this really helped.

It takes a very special sort of person to do jetting or pumping out shiet. I can tell you from previous experience that I am not that sort of person.

I’ll take anything mate lol. Passed my test March last year and struggled to find a job since so I just need something to get me experience. Companies have gone back to being very strict again
