I clicked a link for Peter Smyth’s training company a couple of weeks ago and when a splash screen came up with a web address I went on it and registered.
Unbeknown to me it wasn’t the Peter Smyth company but another company called ‘Specialised Training Services’ who had somehow intercepted my enquiry.
Later the same day I received a phone call from one of their sales/training team. They were very slick and convincing and even after I pointed out that they were expensive they had a well rehearsed patter to overcome my objection. I have spent 25+ years in a sales environment and without that experience I could easily see someone being convinced to sign up with this company.
I politely ended the call without any kind of commitment given but since then I’ve had numerous phone calls, voice mail messages, texts and emails.
For the record they were offering a full training package from medical to c+e pass and then just stopping short of guaranteeing a job via Manpower.
Their price was £4,700!

ERR … I think they meant to say - We have a network of over 100 training centres that are not owned by us but we can send you to across the country … and charge you for doing that
When I was emailing round to get information on the driver CPC I emailed these… drove me mad for about 2 weeks after, loads of calls, texts and emails… In the end I told them I was using another company…and I would not uses them because of the constant bombarment and pressure selling…

Not even close to being reasonable.
Check out Pete’s thread but from memory he was doing a special offer of Class 2 + Test + CPC practical + Test for £1,270 + Accomodation if 70+ miles away. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=162322
Medical is about £50-60 these days.
Theory tests are under £100 combined from memory.
So up to £1,430 for everything before your C+E training

Yeah, I costed it out to around £3000 for everything (no accommodations) but started second guessing myself
