I’ve been watching this video, youtube.com/watch?v=xR-6MFYCQ0o by Mainstream group - and quite frankly, I’m not sure why they bother making you do this exam.
Just watch the video ? it seems pretty straightforward.
Also, are they likely to hide any illegal immigrants under the truck for the test
Any thoughts / advice on this ? I do mine on 14th.
Some videos are great, some not so clever. The questions change from time to time so it’s important the the video is current.
IMO there’s no substitute for proper training. This ensures an extremely high chance of a pass. It’s also important to know your way around the vehicle being used for test.
It’s not a difficult test. But it’s easy enough to fail.

Unless you find a dodgy provider. I went for my PCV Mod4, was booked in for a full day training and test at the end of the day.
I walked out less than 20 mins after arriving with a freshly passed Mod4 certificate. It most certainly wasn’t skill or knowledge on my behalf, he simply didn’t want to be stuck in the office on a Saturday. Nice £150 in his back pocket for 20 mins work of which 5 of it was making me a brew.
Find yourself a reputable company Riddlemethis. My LGV Mod 4 was worlds apart from this and I actually felt I learnt something with the training.

Disgraceful. Underlines my continual point that not all training is the same. It’s all very well thinking “that’s fine, he’s got his ticket”. But the whole principle is that new drivers receive education. And, delivered properly, any new driver will learn stuff which will help in the months and years to come.
I see little point in paying good money to learn nothing.
