Another One Gone, Cartwright in Administration

I did a week for them. £12 an hour. Max hours. Parking not paid. Run ragged. Messed around. Moaned at. Pushed to the limit. Trucks with more lights on that a christmas tree and damaged. Then companys wonder why there is a driver shortage. There isnt as someone mentioned earlier on. Drivers talk. When you get companys that do this no one wants to work there. Then they cant get loads out on time or make deliverys and have to keep rescheduling. Then they go down the road of agency. Pay £0.50p more an hour to drivers and god knows how much to the agency and get supplied with anyone that has a licence. These generally crash/damage the trucks and cant get the deliverys done in a timely manner or dont/cant stay out in a truck as they didnt realise what it would be like, take the truck back and dont come back the next day. The cycle then starts again. There is a reason why alot of these companies struggle now more than ever with a massive influx of under qualified drivers (new rules around car to arctic no reversing etc) plenty of companies big and small that have no problems at all and a fairly happy fleet of drivers that are paid well and looked after. If this was to happen everywhere then no one would struggle to get and retain drivers and prosper. But while they pay nearly minimum wage what do they expect!

Neon you seem to have all the answers, i suggest you buy some trucks and make yourself a million

Neon has hit the nail on the head with that reply he is spot on lol,
And yes he could make a Million operating a few trucks by working at the right rate ( yes it is still about if you Look ) and looking after your drivers? Do NOT use agency park it up first. anyone that does is scraping the barral, but with there site up for offers of 3.3 million maybe it was a good reason to go Bust with the transport ■■?
