Keep trying different agencies and phoning the ones you’re already registered with, to get a first break it often just a case of being in the right place at the right time.

Been offered another load today with an overnight in london… take a loaded freezer from Manchester to London, overnight and meet a bloke early (ish) doors down there, then me and him do warehouse drops down there 3 or 4 drops… then high tail it back up here after dropping him off!
i was WELL up for it, told them that! 2 shifts money and an overnight, kerching! rang me back to inform they had cancelled it

I dont know if it’ll help, and it may have just been a coincidence when it happened to me. I’m recently passed Class 2, but this relates to my 7.5t work and agencies. I’d been doing some work for an agency, fair bit of work to start with, then it tailed off to virtually nothing. This was in the run up to Christmas, so the work was out there, I just wasn’t getting any of it, not even multidrop. So I went round a few more agencies, gave the first agency as my reference and thought nothing more of it.
Now, I’m not being bigheaded, but I think I’m a fairly decent driver (7.5t) and worker, and I know the clients I worked for at the first agency were happy with me, asking for me by name, etc.
Agencies love poaching other agencies drivers, and hate losing drivers to other agencies, especially if they’re good, thats what I was told anyway.
Within a day, the first agency were on the phone, offering work, and I was back in ‘favour’, I cant prove anything, but I bet agency XYZ ringing for a reference gave them a kick into action.

Just be aware that London will have street closures tomorrow and Sunday for London Marathon.
Well, nowt all weekend… and nowt now on Monday morning! Starting to get a little disheartened with this now
I did get an offer however late on Friday afternoon, but the company need too see my full licence and wont accept my passport and pass certificate wish DVLA would pull their bloody finger out and get my licence to me!
