Arriving at eurotunnel this morning I noticed the new system, asked what the problem was and was told they ****** up by cutting the roofs off the carriages. Apparently a Euroliner’s roof blew off and got tangled in the power lines ( hence the delays last week ) ! So until further notice it’s hard sided vehicles ( fridges etc ) on open carriages and others on closed carriages. You couldn’t make it up.
About 3 weeks ago as I disembarked one of these new look trains at Folkestone I noticed that my mirror back plate was flapping around, luckily I grabbed it before i lost it.
Last week after disembarking in Calais as it became daylight I realised my sun visor was no longer there!
Must be like a breakers yard for trucks in the tunnels

Are you sure Rush Green Motors havent got the franchise now?? LOL
Surely the LOHR carriages are used elsewhere in europe (Freiburg-Novarra)? Or maybe it’s just that the tunnel created suction and dragged the roof up, or maybe some immigrants have opened the roof from the outside and scarpered when the fireworks went off!
One of mine lost a mirror back last week but a truck on the same train had the roof wind deflector ripped off (the trucks were going through backwards on the trains at night apparently)

The whole thing seems to be going backward…
Christ i consider myself lucky that i got through unscathed on Sunday afternoon then!!
First time i’d been through in 15 yrs and i’m still not a fan.
