God fancy taking a double decker ( well trying ) under that bridge ,
I drive a rigid 14ft 6 and I don’t go that way . When you drive high vehicles you must do a little research on your route not just jump in and drive

Big enough warning signs on the bridge and before you even get to it, some people are just stupid.

Bet he’s also the type of driver who totally relies on those 3 sat navs, who never flashes you in, cuts in on you when overtaking, keeps you sat in the middle lane after you’ve pulled over to let him out, and oh yeh, the ‘‘piece de resistance’’ …always wears his hi viz whilst driving. :laughing:

What is baffling, but totally in keeping with the 17th century attitude of this country to transportinfrastructure, is that years ago, the other railway bridge just up the road, was rebuild to 16’ plus height, and no longer has a height restriction.

Mind you, it’s not like this is a strategically important road that would carry a lot of traffic back and forth from a major port to one side of the country…

What’s wrong with 3 sat navs , I Cary 2 , I carry 2 torches , 4 taco rolls , about 10 pens , 2 pair of gloves , 2 high viz etc etc , it’s called common sense , if something breakes / loose it you’ve got a spare / spares
I’ve no doubt I could get around without a sat nav , but a lot of new drivers depend on them , so carrying a spare one in the event of original one breaking makes total sense

You can but box jockeys couldn’t aim for the middle , so they changed the height

As Toonsy says above with #7, it is very low. Vans, 4x4s, cars with roof racks, or bikes on the roof are gonna cop that un. A "strike" doesnt have to be a container or decker goin` at full tilt.
