I don’t get to listen to the Dark Lord these days, but gather the ‘jumpsuited one’ is on his show this week… is she really as bad as I think she’ll be?! Her rather twee style (harking back to R2’s old-fashioned days up to the mid-90’s) is bad enough on a Saturday morning to make me change stations, but covering for Alex? Oh dear… I can’t see the contrast in styles doing well.
She does a stint on R2 on Saturday morning. You have nothing to look forward to except the Dork Lards’ return!

Touche!.. that is rather damned by faint praise though! Nothing against A.R. herself, she’s just a very dull broadcaster.
Radio2 would rather go with a “celebrity” than an actual quality radio person, that’s one reason it’s going down the pan.
I heard the last hour or so. Truly awful. Probably as bad as when Alex (although her I’d do her against the rock) Jones was in for him. Can’t they find blokes to do it? Anneka, Jones, Coxy etc etc etc
And I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned this morning’s garbage.

Night time has always been poor on Radio 2 apart from Saturday with Hughy Morgan and Richard Allinson. Janice Long is garbage banging on about her family all the time and that annoying voice. Alex Lester is past his sell by date. BBC Radio Sheffield has Toby Foster (les out of pheonix nights) on the breakfast show, he is quality. 
Heard her last night and struggled to get radio 4 aka world service so put up with CLASSIC well it had to be better than the IoW queen 
as for VF and JL I cant stand ether of them either…
I noticed this morning that Lyn Bowles is not coming into V F studio now. That tells me volumes
She jacked in the word of the day rubbish a week or two back.
Must admit it used to wind me up that they could use her for something as pointless as that, while a good chunk of the motorway network is closed. Obviously there are only professional drivers on the road at that time of the morning, why on earth would we need traffic news, when we could find out the meaning of the word “flangesnafflous”

Couldn’t agree more, Anneka Rice was extremely uninteresting to listen to on R2 last night 
I’ve started listening to LBC, much more topical than some of the boring dung ‘Fatty Feltz’ yaps on about with that annoying voice of hers, as soon as that lump comes on the air it’s time to re-tune… can’t stand her !!!

Bruno Brookes started on Radio Stoke, he was a legend up here in the early 80’s.
He never had a surname until he moved to Radio 1. There was even a PMT bus (local bus company, no innuendo) painted up to glorify him, I kid you not. His gf was Anthea Turner, until she left him for Peter Powell (now there’s a smarmy git if ever there was one)

Nar mate, they had a clear out of their staff newsreaders. They now use other BBC newsos to do the job.
I don’t mind Coxy on early breakfast, she’s far better then she was on Radio 1. Can’t stand Miss Piggys twin, Feltz though, she just talk inane ■■■■, and talks over evryone else. There are plenty of other jox around that could do far better then the large warbled ■■■■■■■■. As for Anthea Turner, she left Peter Powell for someone else, top class bird.
Let’s be honest, women in general are poor on the radio, but A.R. is really bad. If you’re up on a Saturday though as someone said earlier, Hughey Morgan’s brilliant!
There was an interview with one of the BBC heads on Radio 4 the the other day and his aim was to have half of the presenters women so this is probably why we are getting these crap women on .
I am pleased they eventually got rid of Sarah Kennedy in the mornings , how did she get a job as a presenter?
The only decent one I have heard is Suzi Quatro when she was doing her weekly show at night
Never mind eh, we got Chris Rea’s “Road to Hell” as our supertastic truckin’ toon this morning.
Mind you, when she had a shed load of suggestions of songs we heard as kids, we got the legendary “My old man’s a dustman.” How could I ever question her integrity after a bit of Donnegan. FFS.
