heres a pic of my dads old F7 he had from brand new in 1979 working out of avonmouth mill it was his first bulker after nearly 20 years on bags ! semi retired was his saying ! anyone got any more posts or know of anyone who worked out of avonmouth or crossfields in bridgwater be good to here from you ?
Ican remember a few Dalgety Drivers from Avonmouth ,Mick Bishop ,Berty Mills ,Con ,Jerry Kieth from Reading,Dennis had a FL7 from south of Avonmouth Dave England ,Dave Orchard

during the nineties i worked for my dad ,teme valley transport,knighton.potatoes to bristol or south wales and feed ex dalgety avonmouth ,fords or vitamealo for dalgety hereford [gary] or knighton.i remember the bulk drivers also robin,■■■■ durbin ,john barnett also wyatts,brian meeks and brian mattews and his dad [david i think],with teir imaculatley turned out bedfords.yes ive spent many an hour loading at dalgetys.good days

Ashurst Whalley. They had a M-Deutz 16 Tonner that appeared in a few ads at the time
Richard Battersby Heywood. Still around but seems to be mainly petfood. I used to deliver sides of beef across the road and saw their bottom discharge Mercury backed in.
Bannister Laneshawbridge. They have or did have, a restored Mercury bulker
Bibbys used to deliver into us with Leyland Comet and Ford 1614 flats in the late 60’s.

i used to haul straights into fowler bros & sometimes a small rare load out when they sold they had an old leyland octopus in the shed as well as a leyland freighter, bother 4 wheelers Sheldon Jones at Wells was another that fell by the wayside

yes ive spent many an hour with rebel,( a real carachter).as im in shrewsbury on middle/long distance work i havent seen h
im for years . i think my brother kevin sees him now and again as he was in nash rocks,now hes on for countrywide.

Does anyone remember Chas Draper Grain in Bulk from Leicester. Yellow with black writing red chassis, they used to run Leyland buffalo 8 leggers and T45 roadtrain artics .

This Sed/Atki belonged George Lawty of Helperthorpe near Malton the registration is B241SNW it appeared at 1985 yorkshire show they did alot of work for Bradshaws flour mill at Driffield Lawty’s were taken over by Clugston around 1988.
