ANIMAL FEED COMPANIES 70/80/90s

Dave the Renegade:

Wheel Nut:

Sniffy:
Some older feed trucks

Maybe One for Wheelnut - presume the first is a Timms truck ready for livey ?

It does look familiar, although it could also be Bowmans Flour, any idea where it was taken?

There seems to be some kind of worrying problem with the hairstyles of the day, was the bloke with glasses practising for a role in Michael Bentines Potty Time :stuck_out_tongue:

Also worrying that he appears to be handing a mad bloke a new Dolmar chainsaw

The bloke in the glasses lent me the pic,he was a young salesman. The pic was for a presentation to the winner of the chainsaw, which had been won by the farmer on the right. He had won a competition organised by Rumavite the animal lick company. Could get you a sample to try Malc  .
Cheers Dave.

The winner could be Jim Cary’s dad

Hey fellas
Anyone got any Nitrovit photos?.There was a mill in Tiverton,Devon,I remember seeing Sed Atki 301’s and later Leyland Constructors. I think they also had Bison’s prior to that.
Cheers Jamie

Nitrovit also had a mill in Hull on Clarence Street and a number of sites in North Yorkshire, they ran Commer maxiloads out of Hull and they were owned by Imperial Tobacco Group along with Nutrikem and Ross foods, I remember my dad bringing home some Imperial Tobacco Group in house magazines, wish I’d kept them

Kingan sold out to BOCM, you see bulkers running around with BOCM Kingan on then in Dumfrieshire. Kingan has a sole ERF & bulk blower for delivering to his other farm pig feed, as well as building trailer nowadays under Tough trailers, New Abbey.

A few more,
Are the Warcup and Fishers fleets still about, any idea’s who the Green trucks belong too ?

Nitrovit had the Ainscough’s mill at Parbold, Lancs.

I can recall them running Ford D1614s on bags, as well as Leyland Lynxs, Octopii and Buffalos. Tony Brierley has restored an ex-Nitrovit Buffalo (MFU190R), but sadly not in their livery. I only learned recently that an old chap I fish with was a driver at Parbold - Peter Goodall.

Nitrovit also had a mill in Cindersford in the FForest of Dean long gone now though
