Hi all. Do you need a specific truck charger for Android phones? I plugged my Samsung s4 car charger in to the 24v (I think) power outlet and it stopped working… Have I fried it??
What stopped working the charger or the phone ?
I’m guessing it was the phone but hoping to be wrong 
Some device charges are 12v, you need to make sure you use a 12/24v charger or use a 12v socket in the vehicle, you can fry any device by using a 12v charger in a 24v socket.
Check to see if the fuse for the lighter socket broke
Thanks for your answers guys. Yeah it was the charger that stopped working. I won’t put one in a 24v hole again lol
if its an original charger it will will work on 12v and 24v no problem
The after market chargers either blow or even fry, I stick with manufacturers own and never had to replace one and they work 12/24v.
All new phone chargers are now standardised and work on all phones, it saves the planet apparently 
India and China are on another planet and exempt 
After loads more faffing I bought some 2A chargers and all is good, thanks for all your help guys
