Android auto

Has anyone managed to find an app that works with Android auto in a lorry. Google maps, Waze and Road Lords aren’t compatible. Was going to try Tomtom Go but at £80 a year is bit much
Thanks

Got Android Auto in my car. Google Maps definitely works. It would be stupid for Google Maps not to work with Android Auto which is made by Google.

Are you sure you don’t have to connect your phone to the vehicle by USB connection? Not all will do Android Auto over bluetooth.

Work great in the car but connect to a truck and it says navigation not available. It shows the map but the route disappears. Everything else works in android auto.

Sounds like a glitch…

I used run Google maps and Waze on my 10 inch tablet. There are some sturdy tablet holders that allow it remain steady at a sloped angle. Placed it in the centre console area. Being a limper, I could see where all the big red traffic jams were and head straight for them.

Kerr-ching.

Tried it on a Volvo and a merc and the same message. Must be a safety/ legal thing as it’s not specifically designed for trucks.

Agreed it doesn’t work in a Merc at least for Google maps or road lords.
Understandable because Google maps is not suitable for a truck, but annoying that Road Lords doesn’t work.
All the rest works like WhatsApp, audible , BBC sounds etc.
I wouldn’t risk it for Tom Tom not working unless there is a free trial.
