I’m on Vodafone. They just brought in Eurotraveller. For £3 a day you can use your phone as if your at home, so all your inclusive minutes, texts and data anywhere in Europe. I was even streaming 6 Music my favourite radio station in Germany the other day. It’s great. My phone bill has dropped a lot since.

When ever I go abroad I always switch from my iPhone to windows phone as it doesn’t use data like its going out of fashion

Yes I used to use a similar SIM from a company called Oneroam and I reckoned it cut the cost of calls made by me and to me by about 80%.

02 have just introduced a package for using you phone abroad which dosent eat away to much

Not used it as not been abroad since they introduced it

Maybe have a look around to see who will offer you a god deal for here & abroad

I have been using the tesco mobile it costs me ten pounds maximum a month while in uk and for abroad you can top up which i find cheap but then again i dont use that much as i have a i phone on a irish account and just use the free wifi when i can get it

luke, vodaphone seem really good. they also do for incoming calls 75p connection charge for incoming calls for the duration on payg. its incoming calls im having the trouble with.

data is ok cos i turn off all roaming and data as soon as i get on the ferry as it latches onto the maritime network even sat in dover and thats is a fortune.

ive got plenty of spare mobiles so il try this lycra card.

I use the vodafone passport, turn off your answerphone or it will charge 75p for connection to it. Blackberry is excellent for roaming also as it compresses all data by about 65% so you get more value. BBM messages also use next to no data whatsoever. The only extras I pay on top of line rental are the 75p connection charges and euro traveller daily charges.

just ask vodaphone for a £5 european bolt on. free incoming, 10ppm outgoing.
i just ring her indoors, then hang up. she rings me back for free.

How do you turn your answerphone off, it was a 4 digit number on o2

I was using a sim called “go sim” but what they didn’t tell you while your receiving free calls it’s costing the person calling you 30p a min as the number (is a uk one) is a jersey one so off shore. Now use the vodafone euro traveller but don’t use it for out going at all. As soon as you send one txt or use the phone you get hit with that £3 daily charge but even if you don’t call out you can receive calls for free. I then got a £15 payg phone to txt home or make any calls. Plus my first top up on my payg I got a £20 valet reward, result.
