american trucks

That’s what I drive atm. 2012 Pete 388 550 ■■■■■■■ 18spd fuller. Get a free flat top hair cut everytime I go into the sleeper. Apart from problems with the regen and DEF system she’s not to bad.

volvo everytime with i shift and a volvo engine

The Pete I had in Canada 475 Cat 18 speed fuller and to be pedantic, it’s a constant mesh box, not a crash box.

Whilst on the subject.

I have seen a couple of American trucks chromed up and pulling tanks on the A14 a few times (French reg I think).
Anyone know where they are going?

They make my little 12 tonner look like a mini!

Yes we were.

How many could actually get in and drive them though, seriously.
None of your Nancy boy auto boxes, more than likely a 13 speed semi crash Fuller box at a guess, if it’s an older model.
Dream on you younger guys, these trucks are for a certain age group.

On a wind up btw, don’t take it to heart.

Wasn’t there a training company on here that had one? Or was it a UK truck with a crash box?

Many, perhaps still most brand new trucks here come with an Eaton Fuller crash box, 13 speed being the most common at a guess. They’d be no use to the average driver on here though as unless they’ve being retrofitted with a digital tacho they’d feel unsafe, like the cotton wool has being taken off and refuse to drive it on safety grounds as there would be nothing keeping track of their WTD hours and nothing to input a manual entry for collecting the keys. Things that if you requested to do in the US, somebody would hopefully and quite rightly take out their revolver and shoot you in the head for…seeing as we’re being being entirely serious with this

I remember reading a diary you did some time ago and you mentioned the lack of tachos and how the regs are different. Must be great actually just get on with doing the job!! [emoji1]

It’s nice tO sort yourself out in the morning get on the highway and just go not having to worry to much where the next traffic jam will be (unless on the east coast lol)
Had a great trip over to Vancouver and back this week Via Edmonton AB was a great drive nice just to get on and get the job done
