Amazon Relay

Hi, I have recently been given access to the Amazon Relay platform. I’m quite shocked at how ■■■■ they pay their carriers. Some rates are as low as 0.82p/ mile for an artic. If I accepted most of the Amazon load I would have been cheaper to pay the driver to stay at home. However, there are many carriers such as Stobart, Maritime and many others with all new units working for amazon. Does anybody know if there is an alternative method of accepting Amazon work?

Yes there is an alternative.

Amazon relay is an ad hoc load board, where extra loads are subbed out.

There is another platform where you can tender for contracts. Keep in mind some of the company’s you are up against when tendering.

The other platform is called Tincontract. However, I’m looking to see if there is an alternative to getting ad hoc traction work for Amazon. Is there any companies that sub amazon work out?

I’d say if you manage to get on the regular contract traction (good luck with that). You probly could say on the one way own trailer stuff something like, well I’ll do it if you can’t get it covered but the price is this, then they can take it or leave it.

I’d say most of the one way stuff might be done by EE’s on cabotage for a packet of dry roasted peanuts.

Slam use subby’s there was a thread on here a while back about another firm who sub out as well. Use the search function.

All tramping and silly o’clock starts each day I reckon though.

Wow is it that bad?

At least give them a packet of cheese and onion as well.

So the recent quote I got (not Amazon I hasten to add) running France, Italy, Germany, & Benelux. Tolls and ferry paid for £1.24 per mile ( Their Trailer) was a fortune. Yikes why did i turn it down. :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
