I know a few years back you could go straight to class 1 and this got me thinking about the impending driver/skills shortage that is “apparently” going to be the ruination of the industry!!!
My thinking was that you could gain your class 1 and 2 at the same time and even get your bus licence too?! as many trainers have all these vehicles would it be feasible to do say a ten day course, maybe more, where if you want to you could get all your vocational licences in one go?
Granted it would cost more than just the single category training, but if you only had to sit one practical test and you were qualified for the wider scope of vehicles and jobs would it appeal to people?
I know more revenue is created by separating the category’s out, but just wondering if it could work really!
