Alfred Hymas Ltd

Does anyone have any info plz? What are they like with drivers do they get rushed off there feet? Wages?. And do they take new class 1 drivers? Or anything else anyone nos on this company

Cheers ste

I did 11 years for em :astonished: stuart hymas is a decent bloke to be fair, as long as your straight with him he’ll do likewise. Money’s £8.20 straight through mon-fri more on a saturday can’t remember how much though, nights out are £22. All paid weekly. He does give new lads a chance, you’ll probably have a ride out with wayne to asses your driving. As for the work well what can i say it’s tipper work you’ll either love it or hate it  some days you crack on others are steady away. all legal and above board, some of the motors are nothing flash (renault premiums) :frowning: but all in all i’d go back if the need arose. Hope this helps bud

Cheers mate  am gunna send them a c.v, do they do any nights out a week? And do you get to keep the same truck?

Cheers ste

Yeah you get to keep your own truck, and you can do nights out if you want, mostly for the guys on the grain side of things, or you can come home every night if you stick to the gravel bashing. Other than that it isn’t a bad job really…worked there for 7 years, and Stuart and Robert Hymas are decent blokes too.

I would think the majority on bulk tippers will be out all week but not sure about the quarry trucks. Do a lot to Liverpool and Manchester.

As jellyfox said yes you do keep your own motor. when it comes to nights out i think nowadays he likes you to do at least one or two a week, or if your that way inclined he’s more than happy to keep you away all week. Fire a c.v off or easier still give em a bell and ask to speak to stuart
