Agency work in the Dudley area?

I moved down to Dudley from NE Lancs a couple of months back and unfortunately had to quit my much loved driving job in the process.
After settling down in my new home I’m now ready look for work in the Dudley area.
I was hoping to get a transfer, within the company I was driving for, to their local depot at Rowley Regis but that didn’t pan out for some reason. I believe there are redundancies and internal reshufflings going on there at the moment.

Can anyone recommend an HGV driver agency in the Dudley area.
As I don’t know anything about the local haulage firms I think starting again as an agency driver would be a good opportunity to get to know a few and maybe apply for another full time job later.

I used pertemps west brom but was a few years ago.

No idea about agencies but You’ve got loads of hauliers in your area…

Jobsworth rang me earlier in the week offering Class 1 work. They’re based in Halesowen which isn’t far from Dudley. They had work in Cannock, Birmingham amongst other places.

First Personnel were advertising for drivers for DPD too a few weeks back.

Thanks for all the info. I may end up driving for one or two of those firms you’ve listed because yesterday I called in to Best Connection at West Bromwich and signed up with them. It’s just a case of waiting around now for my first assignment :slight_smile:

Truckerjimbo: It was ND - the transport department of the firm I was driving for was TUPE’d across to them last year. Maybe I’ll end up back with them via the agency.
