Agency Questions

Morning all

Couple of questions if i may,
When signing up with a few agencies, who gets the P45? or do you just give each one a photocopy?
Agency i have done a week with, said we need you next week for three days but have not called back,
Am i free to get work elsewhere, say for a full week? Agency bod said she would ring last friday to confirm this
week, but hasnt. Dont want to be left hanging on a string when i could be earning elsewhere. Any advice most welcome
,

Regards
Pat

From what I gather you can , I defiantly would if I was in your situation, especially with xmas weeks away

No you give your P45 to the agency your going to use as your prime employer if as a PAYE . your best bet if using multi agency’s would be to go SE and set up as a ltd company you wont pay much if any tax if you do things right…

Thanks for the answers, if i went down the S/E or Ltd. route, does it mean i couldnt claim any benefits if there was to be a period of no work?
I have done a search on here and understand the principles of S/E, but need a backstop if work is intermittent.
And how would you choose your main agency? Signed up with one in Scarborough, but they are a general agency, also one in Hull
which are more a specialist driving agency.
Many thanks

Pat.
