Agency or company?

Hey a mate of mine has passed his class 1 and an agency has contacted him regarding a company that will take on new passes. They’ve told him the company and after researching they are recruiting themselves for the same money.

Should he go through the agency or do you reckon he should just contact the company himself? As normally agency drivers can get shafted and/or might not be as willing to give him as much training compared to one of their own?

They may be trying out new passes on agency but it is possible the same may not apply to permanent roles - you just don’t know. Taking people on agency can be a method of finding out what a driver is like.

If your mate does go in on agency, technically the agency has introduced, so it rules out going permanent for around 14 weeks (at least without a fee being charged to the company).
