A local agency advertised in our local paper for a C+E driver 2 weeks ago. 
45 hours per week, £450 per week.
So for the crack, I decided to enroll with them. 
As yet, they have still yet to contact me for any job, let alone the one advertised in the paper.
Am I surprised?

I have had very similar experience with an agency recently. posted my blogg just before I read yours. These parasites are obviously not governed by any or little to no “code of conduct”. Unfortunatly the Transport industry is wrongly fairly low down on the pecking order when it comes to drivers welfare and terms and conditions, I have had my HGV since 1998 and it was similar then so the current economic climate cant be blamed, It’s just the way the government/s have and probably will continue to view the transport industry and those involved in it.
