Would this be the usual method? e.g. imposing capped rates for suppliers, ensuring that only the agencies that pay their staff the lowest rates can reduce their costs in orer to gain the work from TNT?

There is no where on this system where a driver can challenge any of the information placed in it.
If a member of staff of an agency decides he doesnt like you he can simply and easily place a "negative answer to the “Employ” question, and any other agency subscribing to the system will have doubts about giving you work…
AND YOU HAVE NO MEANS TO ADDRESS THIS SITUATION…

As someone with 20 years experience in IT, the first login page of their ADD website doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence especially knowing the kind of usernames and passwords that the agencies are likely to use, i.e WEAK.

while the log in uses 128 bit SSL even the demo uses only a small number of letters/numbers for a password… unless a large number and random mix of numbers and letters are used even the most basic password cracker will gain access

WHAT ,about when a person works for a agency he asks them to

comply with your wishes—rights in that they do not have ,and will

not ever receive your permission to exchange ,sell, or inform any other

person or agency any of the details that you have supplied to them

Make them sign and date it with witnesses also there firms seal or

stamp. Furthermore in the letter state that if these conditions are

found to be abused that civil-action will be taken useing the full

strength of the current law system…

its is not only the agency that will get access to your personal details
but also the agencies client

  • I would like to know just how you will be checking the integrity of the data you are/have been compiling?

  • Will De Poel compensate any agency driver for loss of earning due to the driver being refused work due to incorrect information being held by DePoel?

  • Will De Poel start a list of disreputable recruitment agencies and directors of the same as a service to the industry?

  • Will de Poel agree to withhold ALL information held on an individual until they have recieved written confirmation from that individual that they have been consulted fully, and made aware of all the implications of their details being held on the database.
    * The Recruitment and Employment Confederation code of practice for agencies states that employees details must not be divulged without the EXPRESS PERMISSION of the employee, and also should only be divulged as part of the recruitment process…

I have skimmed this site and it has some points which I belive that

this so-called modern and efficent data-and informations company

should also read and digest, with the amount of persons who are

employed in our branch of employment I belive we can also influence

the correct people to apply that this firm reconsider what they wish

to achive when they are refused permission to accept,store,gather,

buy,details with out this persons explicit permission to do so…

I belive that according to the EU laws on DATA --Protection that

they are not allowed to pass any details gathered AGAIN with out

asking permission from the person concerned…

I have spoken to the DTI (Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate ) and am awaiting their response…

also the Recruitment and Employment Confederation are having a word with their lawyers and looking over the code of practice to see what their response is.

Two of the trade magazines are also now following up this issue…
