Here is my 15 rolling week shift pattern. Work ask if can do extra shift but not sure where i can fit them in as some weeks have split rests.
I do AM starts and work 8 to 9 hrs a day.
Please look at the picture of my shifts. W = Work and the blank = rest days.
Thanks for looking.
The W with a circle is where i am today.
Be a little easier for me if they were shown as fixed weeks from mon to sun … the following refers to the weekly rests taken in the fixed weeks as per the regs
Your week 1 for below now starts on the first Monday and I am assuming they are all day shifts so any off (o) on sun or mon includes sunday midnight allowing it to be used for either week ending or week starting
w = work
o = off
X = extra shift
R = Reduced weekly rest
F = Full (regular) weekly rest
1 = w w w w X o o R (X could be fri or sat)
2 = o w w w w w o F
3 = w w w w w o w R
4 = o o w w w w w F
5 = o w w o w w w R
6 = w w o o w w w F
7 = w w o o w w o F
8 = w w w w w o o R
9 = w w w o w w w F
10 = w w o X w w w R (X could be wed or thu)
11= w w o o w w w F
12 = w w o w w o w R
13 = w w w o o w o F
14 = w w w w w o o R
15 = w w w w w o w F
My work runs sunday to saturday. In week 1 u said it could be thurs of fri but im already in thurs. Did u mean fri or sat? Thought i cud do more extra shifts than 2 in 15 week.

I did mean fri or sat in week 1 = my apologies, I did it very quickly
although your company week might be sun to sat the regs work from mon to sun so working out weekly rests is based on the regs week
As far as I can see you can do at most 2 extra days because your boss has already tried to max out the working days.
In the table below the extra day in week 7 can be swapped for week 10 if you want, but it can only be one or the other not both.
The table below assumes that your reduced weekly rest periods will usually be around 36 hours and your regular weekly rest periods will usually be around 60 hours, if this is the case compensation for the reduced weekly rest periods shouldn’t be a problem.
To be honest, for the sake of 2 days a fortnight I think this is over complicating things, but if that’s what you or your boss want to do good luck to you.
The extra days are coloured grey, the numbers in brackets show which week the rest period will count for.
Well impressed with the graph, tachograph. Thanks for your time and detail
I might have use different colours though
