Yeh cheers m8. Its just no excuse of being like that i thought grown men were by all the school boy stuff.
Iv worked with some great people in the past that are good friends now but this kinda thing is lame for grown men to be snitching on a young man thats just trying to get by and earn a living for wife n kid.
I went in done the job with very little mistakes. Just the odd mistake where i taken the longer way.
But the hole point im making here is he cant use a tracker to spy on me for my routes and use that to pay me off. He also said it was because im no got enough experience lol iv been driving since 2006 and built myself up from van driver to class 2 then class 1 and iv been doing 18month on the road for class 1 in a mix of experience from fridge work to containers and curtainsiders. Its just my knowledge of east coast wasnt great but im great believer that mistake make you learn

If you no longer work there, then name and shame to save anyone else making the mistake of working for him, then hopefully he’ll go bust.
Guaranteed way to bankrupt him. Every single driver in the world reads TruckNet and each and every one of them will take the word of a complete stranger on the internet as the absolute unquestionable truth.

Well the way i look at it. He will do that himself. Im not going to lower myself to that level. People already know what hes like so he will do it himself without me lowering myself to a shocking level

Whooooossshhh.
You can tell people on here “You’ll be robbed” and still they’ll line up for the punishment, because somehow working for £6.50ph with deductions for everything including fi fo fum fees seems like a better prospect to some than holding out for something better and possibly be left on the sidelines for a few weeks at the start of the year… I think it’s some kinda northern work ethic thing that is widely not understood darn sarth ere…

are you for real davy?
a tracker is a management tool but you don’t think the management can use this tool to manage you why do you think they buy it? you lost your job for moaning to everyone who would listen and now your moaning on here
davy walk away from it and learn from it, look at the replies some support you some dont, in a couple of days time a similar post will appear and some will will be saying the complete opposite… thats drivers for you… i leaned a long time ago not to moan to others as it will soon get back and be completely blown out of proportion, if you have a problem go straight to the cause and try and sort it…
we used to start a rumour by telling a driver something or moaning in front of him… at the time we could monitor calls from cab phones and it was hilarious watching it bounce around the different drivers until we got the story back, which would be completely different to the one we started lol.
we once found an estate agents for sale sign, we put it by the main gate, within an hour we had been brought out by stobarts…
If you’re on probation surely they can get rid of you for whatever reason they choose

lol well that’s you option to think that m8 Ive seen it happen before in another company I worked for and the driver got the guy by the balls because it was getting wrongfully used although its there to make sure if your loads secure and traveling to right place. it is a tool and I wasn’t actually moaning to everyone, I was discussing things to find out if it was the norm for them to treat people like at the beginning so asking questions of something isn’t moaning it? and 2nd thing is theres a lot of twisted people out there that like to cause other people problems and like taste there bosses helmet

yeh I perfectly understand that. I don’t really care too much about tho, i just wanted to find out about the using the tracker as a tool other than monitoring where the load is.
i will find something or worst just go with agencies again
I do hope you find something that suits you and wish the best of luck
im sure i will find something cheers tom and thanks to all who replied although everyone has different view on it 50/50.
already got 2 jobs lined up so will just need to wait and see

Ken,
The naming thing is best done by PMs so as to keep it between those who are interested.
Just posting a load of stuff about a person/company is only ever one side of a story.
Without the other side having opportunity to join in, then it’s all nothing more than one-sided gossip which is against forum rules.

Nice one Davy.
I’ve read your story, and I’m afraid to say that this kind of treatment is all too common these days.
Good luck!!

I know m8 as a wee boy i listened to all the stories my dad and uncle told me about it years ago and thats why i got into driving but it all went belly up with spineless drivers. People like that deserve a kicking. regards to employers they think they have licence to ■■■■* on the street
Cheers dave
Davey you are still moaning. blaming drivers. blaming management but you are blame free wonder why they sacked you and not every one else:D
My now ex boss spoke to me like this also blamed me for some damage which I did not do as didnt have that trailer & would have been impossible for me to do due to nature of damage & where I used to go it was actually another driver & he told the boss as well as a scrape on 1 of the trailers another driver did some slight damage to his unit nowt said both of these drivers have over 40+ years experience
He has also not paid me my last week pay
Now I know he dont have the best reputation in this area & he singles me out to speak down to belittle me & seen to bully me now I know he didnt speak to other drivers like this
I will move on as this was recent & still ongoing as he want me to pay for the damage I didnt do
Think probably the bossman has done you a favour - he sounds like t**t and your fellow workmates aren’t much better.
■■■■■■■■ about the boss is all part of the fun everywhere, in all jobs.
As has been said, head up high, move on, nobody needs rubbish like that
i,m now working an office job doing the planning ect and i use the tracker system to monitor the driver and the load, if a driver does go a little out the way of the expected route I would give him a call to make sure all is ok, going to the extreme but load may have been hi jacked, or it may well just be a diversion, that if you have other drivers in the area you can make them aware of… or like the other day, we do a run several times a week to a regular customer, normally the same driver does it, but last week a driver went sick so the regular driver on this run was moved to cover the sick fella, but a delivery was near to his usual run and he was heading to his normal drop, a quick call reminded him, weve all done it, so no problems, but this tool probably saved a few quid and time and kept the deliveries on time…
