Hi everyone
My name is James Bentley. I’m a Bury fan and a freelance writer. I was pointed in the direction of this site by a mate who’s a driver, who said you’re all a close-knit bunch who might be able to help me.
I’m currently working on my second book about the club (details on the first can be found at www.theforgottenfifteen.co.uk). It’s about Bury in the mid-90s when we had a period of extended success. I’ve found the vast majority of former players I’d like to talk to but I’m missing contact details for a man called Adrian Randall.
Adrian played for Burnley and York before he moved to Gigg Lane for £140,000 in 1997. He scored a few important goals as we marched towards the Second Division championship and he won a medal when we clinched it.
I’ve heard vague rumours that he was working as a lorry driver, as indeed (I think) is Steve Redmond who played for the club later, hence why I’m here.
If anybody knows Adrian, could you please let me know via this thread and we’ll see if we can get an interview with him?

If he picked up any injuries during his career, he will be very difficult to locate within the lorry community.

And if he’s had to move around a lot by being a prima donna, you’re really going to struggle… 
He’s probably been sat in some RDC waiting room and mentioned his career as professional footballer, But doesn’t bother anymore as everytime he does there another driver who wants to tell him about his career playing for Man Utd. And how he refused a multi million pound transfer to Barcelona because he wouldn’t be able to train with the SAS during the week. He’s still a millionaire though , only drives a truck to help his mate out. 
Used to work with a guy who told people he used to play up front for Liverpool but was displaced by the Toshack & Keegan partnership!
