  1. Can you make tea?
  2. Can you write your own name?
  3. Can you manage to find your way here again tomorrow?
  4. Have you got some ID?

That is all you need to know, the ADR instructor will teach you everything else

Well which 1 do you want me to answer as all the exam are multi choice

As wheel nut say the instructor will teach you all you need to know for the exams there should also be a handbook given to you that is yours to keep

Dont forget your driving licence btw

Oh an apple for teacher

Will an Adr actually help a driver get work then? Local agency has a thing where they pay for it but you PTT they back over the 12 weeks your stuck with them, at 50 quid a week!

No need to study beforehand, you will only confuse yourself with rules and regs that may be out of date.

thanks for the comments guys im currently just learning the classification of substances , the packing groups , load thresholds, major terms on i will see on tremcards, emergency action codes and kelmer hazard identification numbers could anyone tell me if these are the basic qualites everyone should know if doing an adr course ,im still waiting to go on my course so i will leave the rules and regulation side of it till i get my stud work . :imp:

Depends what year they are from as ADR changes the rules every couple years

Do a search for ADR & you will find a lot of info or ask Diesel Dave he is your ADR man

What’s a Tremcard?

Agency paid for mine never had to pay them back. I got offered a job at calor gas on the cylinders but it wasn’t for me so they wasted there money and I got a ADR in gases which has never been used. They also paid for my Hiab of which I now use in full time employment away from agency.

It’s all common sense questions the handbook I got explained everything needed

Tremcards are obsolete, you now receive instructions in writing and its kemler plates, Diesel Dave will agree D.I.Y ADR is not advisable.

We were given an A4 size booklet with all the information you need, there are blank spaces at various points in the booklet to make your own notes, then take it home and revise.

A mate of mine did that, it was just a temporary job out of Goole, that was about 25 years ago, although he is based in Rotherham now :stuck_out_tongue:
