Acquired rights Operator CPC

The latest email from VOSA provides a link to registering for acquired rights before December 2013 for those with Grandfather rights. I am slightly confused because it mentions GFR for those who have no examination pass on the one hand and then mentions relevant experience in a 10 year period.

I took the old RSA National exam in 1980 or 81 and have the certificate somewhere. I was also elected to the CIT as an associate member, but let my membership lapse after a few years. I have only once acted as an official nominated TM, but that was in the 1980s.

Am I due to lose my CPC after December? or is this something that only applies to those who have never taken an exam in which case I don’t need to do anything?

Thank you

My old man got his through grandfather rights and hasn’t ever sat an exam, is he gonna be in trouble in December? He thinks not.:astonished:

my father is the same, I think he has to send in the paperwork he does have before December to get it up to date,

thanks for the reminder
