I joined the queue at J26 and by the time we passed the scene, the car and van had been recovered. Looked like one of the recovered vehiclez hit the glass lorry and the MAN artic tried to avoid them.
I also had to look at the headline “man accused of having ■■■ with a horse has died”…Condolences to Dobbin.
did anyone see a tandem trailer being towed north from the scene by a wrecker?
As i wondered if it too had somehow been involved.
While travelling south I did see the matrix signs showing the closure, and had the option to turn off at J26, but this would have had me possibly running into Nottingham, then out onto the A453 towards donnington, which seemed a long diversion, so I decided to sit tight, and wait. I was also due a break, so I figured the worse case I`d head to trowell and risk any over crowding
i reckon you did the right thing.it took me about 45 mins from j26 past the scene.i phoned my mate who is on locals for sims metal…he said nottingham was ■■■■■■,as was derby 
I think this happened whilst I was having a 45 at Donnington Services, I was a bit peeved when I got onto the slip (n/b) and saw the traffic, best part of 3 hours to get past the scene, however looking at the alternatives on WAZE the delays were just as bad.
