I have an app that records all that info for my cycling to work, once it recorded me at 78 mph…uphill !! So maybe they aren’t that accurate 
Just another selling tool perhaps! 
I suspect that it will give most people a good score and offer them a discount. Would be interesting to see what you get if you drive badly.
