A57 Todwick to Anston

The A57 todwick to anston is still closed can anybody explain why. It’s a easily acessable road there are no hills, no tight bends so why oh why coulld they not keep it open. It must be one of the easiest roads to get to with ploughs and gritters, todwick is less then a mile off the M1.
It’s a pretty poor performance by the people responsible for keeping the roads runnning. Just been listening to the local radio and up to 13-00 hours is still blocked.

Last I’ve heard the road has fallen to bits?

Dunno, but its the same part of the road that a white reefer crashed through a hedge into a field on Tuesday.

About half way through that video you see the queue of waggons trying to get up that hill :open_mouth: and snaking all the way back towards the M1

Apparently one of our lads was stuck there for 2 days… Looking at that last pic, does it look like a Sainsbury’s getting pulled by the tractor?

I heard the recently finished underpass built so the golfers can cross under the road (previously they had to cross the A57 on foot) had collapsed ?
I can’t confirm this, its just what I was told.

It says ERF not RAF:

That would be annoying - daft snobby fat old man’s pastime (note it’s NOT a sport!) anyroad

I,ve heard the same rumour about the underpass but i’ve looked on " worksop Guardian " and “Lindrick golf course” websites and I can’t find any mention of it so I’m assuming it is just a rumour

I drove down the very stretch of road today and the underpass is still there. I went from the M1 to Worksop without any probs, other than the road is a bit narrow due to piles of snow.

Strange
