Just a heads up. When you come down past Bicester Village down to the roundabout from Aylesbury where the Esso garage and the Acorn pub are, the road layout has changed. Where you used to filter left for the A34 and M40, the filter lane has been scrapped so you have to give way like a normal roundabout. This is down to Tescos complaining to the council that the road is too difficult for shoppers to access their new store opposite the hotel.
Apparently there were bad queues yesterday coming from Aylesbury, so thank Tescos for ruining what was a very good road layout. 
Don’t think it’s the Tesco shoppers who were having problems, probably the Tesco drivers!

- They didn’t pay for it, they just asked the council to remark the road.
- They’ve ruined a busy junction and caused congestion to suit themselves.

I think it would have been Bicester Village that would have paid for it, they paid for the store to be built so they could get their hands on the site the original store was on

A Tesco Express manager thought that too last Monday morning until he got told the truth and got reported to Tesco customer services for trying to belittle me in front of customers.

Should have seen the look at my Tesco induction when I said I’m still shopping at Asda as it was next door literally to where I was living, and the looks I got in there in a Tesco uniform
They are going to make said roundabout into a Hamburger style, (this was meant to be completed before the new Tesco opened) The congestion will be here for a while.

but why did they not make the Tesco entrance off the traffic light junction a few hundred metres down and leave the roundabout alone like a sensible person would have.

Because Oxfordshire County Council is involved. They who wont allow the A40 Wolvercote works to run at night nor it would seem to pay the contractors enough to employ more staff to do the job, hence why it’s taking so long.
They have made the traffic light junction the entrance,but they said it was to dangerous for the traffic coming out of Bicester to move over in the short distance from the Roundabout, so they removed the dedicated left turn so everyone has to give way coming from Aylesbury.
