It’s still there mate quite often, it’s a money spinner for them. We run Abingdon a lot, and go out of our way to miss it, the most simple job in the world is to find something wrong with a truck, ( I got stoped at Ross a few years ago 55 minutes after passing the MOT at Gloucester, and they came up with two problems :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: ) when I pointed out I had just left the MOT station, the two problems weren’t there anymore, Hmmmm. But even if your clear with no problems they still ■■■■ you about for an hour.

Is the council run truck park still open by the river on the other side of town,handy for take away food and a night out,container lads used it on the way down to the port in S,ton.

Yes if you mean the one just over the river on Culham side. When Abingdon had a lot of footpath repairs going on, the contractors had a compound there. Knobhead council twerp expected me to pay for an hours parking one day when on a break; Got around it telling them I was waiting for contractor to come back and sign for load. I did this several times…

Yes that is the one,you can walk along the river. :smiley:
