Heading south on Monday for an 8am in St Austell on Tuesday, I expect to get a bit further than Exeter so any parking suggestions ■■
If you have enough time try Victoria on the ind est there short walk to the pub,it’s a bit pricey but the food is spot on.
It’s a hour or so south of Exeter.
Just pass Launceston at the A395 turn off there’s a large rest/picnic area with a cafe and toilets and across the road there’s a garage and a 5 minute walk under the A30 there’s also a pub.
This is about 30 - 35 minutes past Exeter.
HTH.

There’s Sourton Cross near Okehampton

That’s Sourton Down just past Oakhampton and its the A30 and A386 . I don’t think the pubs open anymore
The café is a portacabin but clean & tidy.
Woodys Diner … 01837 659438
Another vote for Woodys cafe at Sourton Cross. Take the A386 turning off the A30, signed for Tavistock, just a few miles west of Okehampton (about half an hour from m5) at the bottom of the slip road turn right, under dual carriageway and parking is on the right. Not posh but good grub, clean and tidy.
If you make it further down into Cornwall, theres a good cafe at Two Bridges, 10 mins past Launceston, it says no hgv parking but there is space.

Down in Lanson, up in Brizzle, there’s so much to learn when you work for a West Country firm!
Cheers lads, found woody’s diner on google maps looks like that’ll do nicely.

Go back in 6 months and you may be able to slide in here dawnus.co.uk/en/content/cms/ … a-junctio/
It’s supposedly the size of a Motorway service area so it will stink of p*ss and be full of Tizer shortly after opening

doesn’t look like hgv parking is part of the plan unless there leveling the field out back of the site as its not that big when you drive past it and they haven’t even started knocking up the hotel yet

I take it back, it’s tiny for a MSA but biggish for a Trunk Road service area.
18 truck parking spaces with a little dedicated access rd especially for the Truckers, coaches (15) and caravanners (15) Hidden behind the bushes across from the petrol station
