Does any-one know anything about road closure on A17 @ Leadenham Bank ? I am told there are signs near there & at Sleaford, saying “Road closed” from 20th July 08 00am - 18 00pm 
Think it was for 7 days
I know about the “night closure” further on Nr Heckington where they are surface dressing ( poxy chipping

Thanks Chaversdad … couldn’t think that they would close A17 there during the DAY …poxy signs must be wrong

I did ask at Freshlinkski t’other day, but nobody seemed to know ( or speak English ). They do have some notices up about “road closures” … but they are usually in Polish 
They’re resurfacing. I drove down there from Swineshead to Newark yesterday, miles of 20mph speed limit and loose chippings most of the way to Sleaford just like on the A16 south of Spalding (though there aren’t actually loose chippings anymore, just the restrictions still in place).
And someone should have a good word in the ear of whoever at Lincolnshire council had the ‘bright idea’ of imposing an actual speed limit, rather than just putting the usual ‘Max speed’ signs up. They still have those on the A619 from Worksop to the M1 and the loose chippings are gone, so you can do 40 or 50 as appropriate. Not when there’s a proper speed limit - people might do more than 20 but it’ll still be slow and take ages.
I went down A17 from Heckington one day last week … they had just done the 1st section of “chippings” the night before … it was horrendous 20mph speed limit … chippings flying everywhere … and I had my dipped headlights ON because of the DUST … it was like driving in FOG
