A14(m) what type of road is it ? Is it a dual carriageway or a motorway ? What’s the speed limit for the road ? Is it 50 or 56 mph ? Boss at work reckons its a motorway , I always considered it to be a dual carriageway ? ( no hard shoulder ) .

The fact it has a M denotes it is a motorway
Also, motorways have blue information signs. A road signs are green.
I go off the end of motorway signs with the cross over the road and bridge symbol then drop to 50 amongst of course other rules that apply. If the motorway starting sign appears with white road, blue background and bridge then its 56 if safe to do so as it’s a motorway regardless of lanes and motorway rules apply (along with crap services)
