As you can see on one of the images I have attached is a photo of my road atlas where you can see A big red arrow pointing to A T in a circle, that T means truck stop.
When you come off that junction there is A signpost for parking, As seen in the second image.
But had a look on Google satellite and they are all car parks not A lorry park
Anyone know if its there please
No thereās no lorry park there. However, if you come off at the junction after the A1124, head into Colchester on the A133, then turn right at the roundabout onto the A134, thereās a small one there. Thereās also some parking at the BP garage at the junction before the A12/A120 split, near the football stadium.
Or go.onto severalls ind est and park up thereā¦Nice and quite.
Go down the A12 come of at football stadium.
There bp garage with mcds usually space there or
Go over the fly over and go left at round about massive industrial area.
The T indicated is The Bungalow Cafe, an American style cafe bungalowdiner.co.uk. Google earth The Rookeries, Marks Tey, Essex on the B1408 London Road and the cafe is opposite next to the car wash. It looks a right dump but it is quite smart. The owners do allow parking for about £10 on the car park at the back. The image of Station Road obviously leads to the railway station and is on the other side of the A12.
There is a small lorry park for £3.50 in Colchester on Sheepen Road by a retail park.

Ha Ha how times change beanie, last time I parked at the bungalow it was an old time transport cafƩ with a potholed parking area,25 yrs ago mind you.

Go and park on the Hythe quay, which was once upon a time a very busy inland port but now looks and feels like a maritime ā ā ā ā ā encampment, but donāt think they will nick your diesel.
edit ⦠Since when has been āyekipā (inverted) been a swear word, OK will change it to travellers ? Is that OK ?
In the small hours of the morning, this layby on the A131 Braintree-Chelmsford road (5 mins off the A120 southbound) is empty.
Around 6am the kiosk turns up, so park in pole position to let them in. Breakfast is served!
This assumes of course that itās an overnight until morning rush hour that is required.
The new Chelmsford City Race Course is on the opposite side of the road (shows on the google earth overhead as ānot built yetā of course)
Those laybys on the A120 itself - seem to be chocablock every night, so Iāve yet to be able to park on the A120 itself.
Iv seen 3 trucks curtains slashed in the past few weeks in lay-bys around the A12 area.

The last time mine were slashed was on the A12. Wouldnāt have minded but Iād left the front corner open!
