A week of manual entries?

Hello,
My truck has been in the garage for a week for a fault to be fixed.
In the meantime I’ve had to do a week of work in the yard.

When I actually get my truck back tommorrow do I have to put my card in and do manual entries for the time in the yard I.e. to show working time and breaks etc.

Seems like a massive amount of entries to have to do.

I shunt in a Terberg for one week out of every eight weeks. Obviously it’s all on site with no tacho, the only requirement is to make a written note of what you’ve done that week. DVSA are happy with our diary entries simply stating “0600 until 1800 shunting” that’s all you need to do.

If you never drove at-all last week you don’t need to record anything for the week, though your boss might want a record.

If you did drive in-scope of EU regulations you need to do what the maoster said.

Legally the written manual entries for the none driving days should be on charts or printouts but the DVSA will accept a written record in a diary/notebook.

Do not try to manually enter all the weeks work into the tachograph, it will take ages and there’s a high risk of mistakes, apart from that it’s not legally required.

‘A week of manual entries’…cue Dipper.

That’s great advice thanks for the quick replies.

Here’s a bit of useful advice …Don’t bother your arse about trivial matters in the job, it makes for an easier laid back career. :bulb:
Thanks.

Providing you haven’t been driving during your yard work.
That’s what the ? Is for manual entry the to end of last driving shift, then ? Will cover your time for last week. Your boss should have a record of you duties for the week.
The ? Covers work you are required to do non tacho related

Yes.
But only for 80% of the hours you haven’t worked.

Best to be on the safe side, in case DVSA Special Forces SWAT Division hear about it, and rock up and surround the yard.
