I am not a techno,computor wizard, so if this is not feasible then forget it, we have so many people not useing the search button myself included, what about haveing a automatic link which gives a person the chance to look and see if what they wish to post has not all ready been put on the site, some thing on the lines where a box will show up next to the post one wishes to write saying look through here first please, this is just a thought as we have lots of people posting about the same news,advent, etc etc, is this workable,and would it be effective, if used??

I think it would be a wasted effort to be honest B.Pete.
A lot of posters don’t even read the whole thread, just the first few posts which they then reply to, ignoring what else may have already been said.
You think these posters would actually look at any of the supplied links
Some would look, but these would almost certainly be the same posters who try to see if they’ve been pre-empted anyway.
I don’t think it’s possible either.
Ever post, as it’s being written, would have to search the data-base.
That would take enormous server power, especially at the weekends, when several people can be posting at the same time.
